Transfers

Day 189: TRANSFER DAY! It's that time yet again and my trend continues, Sister Hopkins is going to Agoula to be a Sister training leader with Sister Barnum.  So we said our goodbyes and she went. ๐Ÿ™But then I picked up my new comp, Sister Besendorfor, she's awesome!  She's from Heber, UT! After we got together we went and booted at Cal Lutheran for a little bit.  Then she unpacked and settled in.  Then institute, YEAH!

Day 190: We did service at the Harvest food pantry and at the end they started giving us tons and TONS of food!  Like 3 giant bags! There were like 13 loaves of bread, 8 cases of frozen meat, 24 cookies from sprinkles and a pastry ring. AH! Too much food! Then we went and tracked for the day until institute.  ๐Ÿ™‚

Day 191: We had a lesson at a potential investigators today after weeksy planning.  We had a pretty good lesson about the Book of Mormon.  Then his family came by us and he got super nervous.  LOL.  Then we had dinner with a member.

Day 192: Not much happened today, just taking Sis. Besendorfor around to meet ward members/investigators.  We stopped by Bishops and they gave us cookie ingredients and a cookie recipe!

Day 193: TODAY WE MADE COOKIES!  Haha, to take around to people for Easter! We smashed up Cadbury mini eggs for the chocolate chips! ๐Ÿ˜ YUM! Oh and we asked someone if we could share a card about Jesus with them and they said "Go away! We are Satan Lovers! ...BYE! LOL

Day 194:  HAPPY EASTER!
Ah, Easter is the best! I read about Christ's resurrection today. Man, what a powerful thing.  Because of our amazing Savior we can be cleansed from sin and because he died for us, we will live again!!! I love my Savior with all my heart and soul! I hope everyone had a beautiful EASTER!

Conference after Conference after Conference

March 28 - April 3

The beginning of this week was the same old missionary life up until Friday.
Friday we had Zone meeting, they showed us the new Easter initiative called #PRINCEofPEACE.  It's pretty good, go check it out!
Basically it is a nondenominational video about how we can find peace through Jesus Christ, even in our unpeaceful world today.
We also watched a video with Holland and Eyring.  They were talking about missionary work.  They responded to the questions "Why is missionary work so hard?"  The way they responded really hit me.  Basically what Holland said was, it was never meant to be easy. Even Jesus Christ got rejected and yelled at.  But in those moments where we are rejected and yelled at we are standing shoulder to shoulder with our Savior.  (I wish I remembered more)

Then Saturday and Sunday was... GENERAL CONFERENCE! Lemme tell ya... GC as a missionary is basically CHRISTMAS!  All the talks were so good! One of my favorites was the one by
Mark A Bragg: It's the one about "Light" ๐Ÿ˜ƒ  brighter-and-brighter-until-the-perfect-day
Also Jeffrey R Hollands talk.  songs-sung-and-unsung
One phrase that showed up in Saturday session the most was "HE LIVES!" What a powerful statement by our amazing leaders?! It reminds me of a scripture. (wow I sound like a missionary! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ)

D&C 76:22-24
22 And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!
23 For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father—
24 That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God.
It's my favorite scripture at the moment.

1- 6 MONTHS THIS WEEK!!!!!
2- idk, this was the only other photo we took this week....

I love to see the Temple!

March 13 - 27

Day 160: For P-day I cut yet 2 more elders hair, good thing it's what I love! #practice  We did a district "hike" j/k I think it was lit a botanical gardens or something like that. Then we all get slurps for FHE and we did St Patty's day games.

Day 161: Honestly all we did that's worth mentioning is service at Catholic Charities.

Day 162: Sis. Hopkins had a Dr's appointment that took most of our day because the doctor was so slow! Then we had dinner at the Habbit ๐Ÿ˜

Day 163: Nothing exciting today, just weekly planning.

Day 164: St. Patty's Day! At district meeting Pres and Sister Felix were there! We also had interviews with president.  We had to teach them a 10 min lesson, so we taught faith and made a visual aid.  LOL

Day 165: Exchanges! We had exchanges in Agoura today.  I was with Sister McGure.  She told me I can't be from Utah because I have a "southern bell accent". lol what, babe, I was born 'n raised in Utah! ๐Ÿ˜„

Day 166: Church was awesome, our investigator came, after we had a lesson with him and I took his cigarettes from him so he would stop smoking. haha

Day 167: Todays P-day was short so we got everything done and then went out and worked, nothing exciting.

Day 168: We got up at 4 am to... GO TO THE TEMPLE!!! It was amazing! ๐Ÿ˜ I love the TEMPLE! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’– The rest of the day was so long and we were exhausted.

Day 169: We met with our investigator so that was good! But the highlight of the night was having  THE MOST AMAZING tacos ever!

Day 170: While running to the gym we got...Chased by a Dog!  We helped our investigator move some of his things into a members garage.  Then our member over worked himself and had to go to the hospital...awkward. He's fine now.

Day 171: We had 3 appointments today. 1 investigator, 1 recent convert and 1 less active.  They all went well! ๐Ÿ˜ŠThen we went to a game night at the institute but our investigator didn't show up. ๐Ÿ™

Day 172: Today we helped take care of our investigators dog for service! Someone made us super yummy rice pudding and the women's broadcast was tonight! #BLESSED

Day 173:  Church was great! Then dinner at a members home for his birthday, it was fun.

Day 174: P-Day! So far we spent most of our day at the Neff's home and watched a church movie.  So yeah, good times, good times.

Sis. Hopkins was pooped on during a lesson
(They're after me even on my Mission!)
--Sis Page has a fear of birds to say the least.

This is our investigators dog, her name is Bella
and we got to take her for a walk!
