Popped Tires...

Aug 28 - Sep 1

Mon:  Today was fun! Well, all PDay's are fun, but we played volleyball as a district. which was way super fun!

Tue:  Today we had our 2nd exchange.  We went with the Santa Maria 3rd sisters, Sister Groneman and Sister Meyer.  Sis. Meyer was my companion for the day.  She has a similar background as I do.  She's a dancer and does cosmetology.  How fun! She's only been our for 3 weeks!  We had a lesson with a potential investigator named Aram, it went well!  He set up a return appointment for Thursday.  We also talked with a former investigator named Mark.  Him and his family are so cool.  We helped the 5 year old daughter do her homework because she'd only listen to us.  Oh! When we came to their door the 5 yr old said "Mom, look those are Angels!  God sent them here to help us! Mom, those are the angels that work for God" It was so stinkin cool!

Wed:  Today was a good day! We had a family home evening with a returning member.  The spirit was so strong! But other than that, not much happened.

Thur:  We did our weekly planning, Had our lesson with Aram, and he became a "New" investigator! YAY!  We also did service for a less active family.  We also played "super hero fight" with their 2 little boys where they threw soft squishy balls at us and attacked us with pillows.  Twas cute!  We also met another less active family and set up a time to of a family home evening with them.

Fri:  District Meeting Rocked!  We gave an AMAZING discussion.  It was so good, the spirit was so strong!  We were not the ones speaking, it was definitely the Spirit!
Then we came home and plan our 2 lessons we have to teach on Sunday.  (Sunday School and Relief Society)  Then we met the District leaders and...

I'll fill in the rest next week. It's 6:00 and I can't write anymore. 😝

???

Aug 21-27

Mon:  Today was our 1st Pday of the transfer!  We did our shopping and laundry and emails.  For our district activity we went on a fun little hike.  Oh and we missed the solar eclipse. 🙁

Tue:  Today was filled with finding people to teach!  Mostly people weren't home (probably because EVERYONE here goes to the beach) but one man set up a return appointment!  Then our day got a little crazy.  We had to go help some sisters our with somethings for the rest of the day.  Oh! and I taught Sister Adamson the "cup song" 💖

Wed: Today was super FUN!  We had lunch with a member and non member and basically had a campfire meal in the middle of the day.  Then for dessert we had a "woof-em"  (its a biscuit bowl w/chocolate pudding, bananas, and whipped cream)  SOOOO GOOD!!! We had a lesson with a less active member named Theresa and got to know her/share a scripture with her.  She's so sweet.

Thu:  We did weekly planning today which is alway a party and a half.  We had dinner at the Rock 'n' Roll diner (it's in a bus) ah! so cute! We met a less active member and talked with her for a while which was really good!  Then we had a HQ referral that requested a free Bible and Book of Mormon. We took the books and set up a return appointment for tomorrow, YAY!

Fri:  We had district meeting today! Then we had a lesson with the HQ referral!  IT WAS AMAZING!  He basically told his whole life story for 30 min, then his daughter came and sat down and he said "alright, what would you like to show us?"  We taught the restoration of the Gospel.  The LOVED it.  They shared that they knew it was true, but we still invited them to pray about it.  We also committed them to baptism. They said yes!  YAY! They both became new investigators.

Sat:  Our 1st exchange!  The Santa Barbara YSA sisters came for exchanges, my companion for the day was Sister Martin.  She's awesome!  She's only been out 9 weeks.  We started the day off with service and then did our studies.  We had a lesson with a recent convert who's going through the temple soon! 😍 Then contacting and dinner where the couple showed us a strange video that they made.  It was fun, just not what we expected, haha.

Sun:  CHURCH! We taught sharing time in primary today! It was so fun! AH, I love kids!  The talks in the 1st hour were amazing.  They were on education, looking to the Lord, and magnifying our callings.
