Nov 6 - 12

Nov 6 - 12

Tues: TRANSFER DAY!! We spent most of the day traveling to all of our new areas and companions. So today Sister McGuire and I are officially companions!! It's going to be such a fun transfer full of miracles! We taught a lesson to 2 of our investigator,  the Gorokhoffs, they're from Switzerland! They're soooo  cool and basically told me their whole life story. And when they found out that I love cosmetology, they said they would introduce me to their hair dresser who does all the celebrity's hair... it was pretty awesome. Hahaha sorry family, looks like I'm staying in Cali to do hair 😄😅  we also taught Brother Randall, a less active member and read Ether 12 with him. Man... I love that chapter in the Book of Mormon!!! IT'S SOOOO GOOD!

Wed: today we taught a potential named Stuart, he's pretty interesting. He's super knowledgeable in the Bible and tries to get pretty in depth hahaha. Then went shopping for our groceries since we didn't get to go yesterday. We then had a lesson with and investigator names Mahvash and read the book of Mormon with her and talked about church and baptism. She said yes to being baptized and coming to church!

Thurs: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!!!We played basketball with all the elders in our district for workouts hahaha then this morning we met with another investigator named Steve! We taught him the Restoration, he l loved it! And now he's reading more in the Book of Mormon! He also was very kind and made us cross necklaces out of rocks he found at the beach.  We then came home and did some weekly planning. Then went over to a part member families home and the elders gave them a blessing because they got into a really bad car accident last week.

Fri: today our district all went to a park and played a game called groundsies for workouts. Then we had district meeting and district lunch.  Then we had a lesson with another family investigating, the Sanchez family. We also just read from the Book of Mormon with them. Then a lesson with a less active named JJ.

Sat: okay..... today was the best day ever and also the most painful hahaha. We woke up super early and played capture the flag with the district. Then did studies. Theeeeeen went on a "2 hour hike" with Mahvash..... Well I quote 2 hours cuz she said it was only 2 hours. We thought that meant total. Nah she meant one way. So it turned into a 5 hour thing. 2hr there, 1hr lesson WHERE WE SET HER WITH A BAPTISM DATE OF DEC 16!!!, then 2 hours back... let's just say, my legs went numb on the trek back haha
Then later today, we set Terry, an investigator with a baptismal date of December 2nd!!!! #BESTDAYEVER

Sun: today was church, we had 4 investigators come! Terry, Mavhash, and the Gorakhoffs. It was the primary program 💕 all in all. Good solid week!!!! 💕💕💕💕

Oct 31 - Nov 5

This week has been awesome!

Mon: PDAY! well we did our normal p day stuff like laundry and shopping and cleaning. Then we went shopping at the mall and bath and body....i love that place.... 😍 we also went to goodwill to finish getting out nifty Halloween costume for tomorrow night! We had zone activity and carved pumpkins and played speed football (basically ultimate frisbee... but with a football) then dinner at the Taylor household where we enjoyed some Sheppard pie.....it was so stinking good! After dinner we finished up our weekly planning.

Tue: HAPPY HALLOWEEN! This morning we baked a few batches of banana bread to take around to some people that we are working with and one of our ward missionaries for some visits 💕 we went and visited about 4 referrals and then went and read the Book of Mormon with Teresa💕 we then had dinner with the Woodland family and their little grand kids were in their Halloween costumes..... it was adorable! We then had to go in at 7 so we put our Halloween costumes back on and had our own mini Halloween party where we took a bunch of random photos....naturally..... and ate some candy!

Wed: so today was super fun and not too normal hahaha. We started off our day doing studies and then went to Sandy's to read the Book of Mormon with her.
Then we headed over to a referral from the Taylors.... hahaha here's the not normal part.... so Angela, the referral, is always crazy busy and can never meet up because she is always working. SO we set up an appointment with her at her work so we could talk to her and teach her! Hahaha so we went and got our nails done! We ended up teaching her about the restoration and talked a little about the plan of salvation... she's awesome!! We visited some more referrals and set up a time for us to come over and do service for one of them! Then we headed to our investigator Ernestos and talked with him for a little to see how he was doing. We left and started walking away. Then we both stopped and felt really strongly that we should go back, so we did. We didn't know what we were going to say but we knocked anyway and then awkwardly started to talk and prayed that we would know what to say. To our surprise we ended up setting him with a baptismal date of December 9th!!! It was craaaaaazy!

Thurs: today was INSANE! We left our apartment at 5:45 for our missionary leadership council meeting in Oxnard. And didn't leave til about 5 pm to go home. While there, we were able to set up our smart phones and start to use them! So now. .... We are officially a technology mission!!! Yay!! We went to dinner at Panera bread with the Hermanas serving around us and then came home for studies

Fri: it was our last district meeting as a district this transfer..... can you believe it's already transfer calls tomorrow?!?!? I sure cant.... We are PRAYING that we are both STAYING again!! #dreamteam. after the meeting we went and delivered banana bread, with another ward missionary, to our investigator Ernesto and ended up teaching him about the gospel of Jesus Christ and invited him to a baptism in the Santa Maria 2nd ward. YAY FOR BAPTISMS! We met up with him at the baptism and he LOVED it!!! It got him so excited for his own baptism in December! Now we just have to teach him the rest of the lessons! Then we came home and had a really late dinner.

Sat: today was all sorts of emotions haha. We did service for a non member and helped her clean out her backyard. Then we had a lesson with the Stone Family and read the Book of Mormon with them. They're so sweet. They get so excited whenever we read with them, it's adorable. Well the transfer news came today and the odds were not in our favor😢 looks like the dynamic duo is being broken up..... I'm headed back to the south of the mission to the Agoura Hills 1st ward (I covered that area when I was in the West lake ysa ward) my new companion is Sister McGuire!! YAY! she's so awesome.... I can't wait to see what happens next transfer... I feel miracles headed our way!

Sun: YIKES 13 MONTHS OUT. I'M AN OLD GEEZER NOW! 👵🏻I guess time flies when you're having fun... this morning we FINALLY got to out weekly planning.... lol it's been a crazy week. Then we had church. Ernesto came!! And he bore his testimony on how much he loves being here and how he knows that there's something different about this church! He shared that he is so grateful that Sister Adamson and I found him and brought him to the light to build a relationship with God and Christ. (Yeah.... it made us cry like a baby!) Then we said goodbye to some families that we had been getting close with, had dinner and then said goodbye to some people we were working with. I hate goodbyes.... 😒😕😔

It's going to be so very hard to leave this amazing ward, area, and companion!!! It breaks my heart💔💔 but I know that Gods plans are always better than our own plans so I'm excited to see what's in store. All we have to do is trust in Him and His plans for us 💕

WILD WEEK!

Oct 23-29

This week had been WILD!

Mon - We went sand surfing with our district 💖 Man, I love the Sand dunes! We also made Aubrey, a 5 year old girl in our ward a name tag and dropped it off.  She loved it so much!

Tue - We did a whole lot of "smart phone training"  lots of videos and assessments to do/look at before Nov 2.  That's the day we get our phones.   We showed up at our dinner and they forgot they were feeding us and weren't home, so that was awkward...But we ended up getting smoothies at Jamba and all was well.

Wed - We spent the day doing service for our returning member, Sandy, and we moved  cinder blocks for her...WE got buff, no big.  Then had a lesson with her.  Then our less active Teressa, took us to Panera Bread for dinner and we met her non-member mom, that was awesome!

Thu - We had exchanges with the Santa Maria 3rd Ward Sisters,  I went with Sister Groneman! We had an awesome day full of contacting and finding people to teach!

Fri - We had district meeting!  Yay! We had to give a discussion on how to resolve concerns using the Book of Mormon.  We then spent our day weekly planning.  At night we had our ward trunk or treat and we dressed up like elders and they wore our name tags, it was funny.

Sat - We did a service project in the community for a halloween event and ran games and dressed up like pirates.

Sun - Church!!! We met Tadd R Callister and had to teach Gospel Principles on The Gift of the Holy Ghost, it went well.  Then had a lesson with the Williams' and saw the puppies!!!

Hi Friends and Family!

Oct 16-22

Mon - P-Day, lots of good, fun stuff.   We taught the Williams family about missionary work!  Their dog is pregnant with puppies and they're supposed to come this week.

Tue - ZONE CONFERENCE!  We learned ALL about technology and I actually got my smart phone...holy cow, how does one technology anymore?! YIKES!! Guess I'll find out on Nov 2nd...AH!

Wed - We had exchanges w/San Luis O bispo YSA sisters.  Sister Taylor and I had a party and a half.  She experienced her 1st door slam...x2 which was good? I guess LOL...it happens! We found a really solid potential named Bruce.  He's the husband of a recent convert 🙂 YAY!

Thu - Okay...today was a struggle.  I woke up super sick so we had to stay in for a bit but then we went and did service in a warehouse where they were helping the families in CA that were in the fires.

Fri - Temple Day! We went and took our recent convert and a returning member to do baptisms at the temple! 😍

Sat - We had exchanges with the Santa Maria YSA sisters and I went with Sister Rosenlof.  It was a sweet day! We all ended up helping the Williams deliver their dogs puppies, it was awesome!

Sun - We went to 2 church services and there was a primary program in one. It was so cute!  All the kids were in white! 😍 ahhh! So good!  Our investigator, Ernesto, came to church and loved it!!! We had a lesson with Daniel (the returning member).

All in All, good, solid week!  Love you all!!! The Church is true my friends!
