Monday: Today was pretty normal for P-day we did all our stuff fast so that we could make sure I was all packed for transfers tomorrow. Once we finished we went to Bath & Body to find some perfume cuz we were both out #compunity. and ... THERE WAS A SALE! miracles do happen people. Normally the bottle was like $14 but today it was $3.50! MIND BLOWN!! Then we went to the institute to do shout outs with the Elders. Then we went and said goodbye to the people we've been working with. Chris-LA/returning member and J'Michael - investigator. Because we found J'Michael he doesn't know about transfers so we had to break the news to him. Then FHE to say one last goodbye to the members.
Tuesday: Oh my, today was....interesting. So we had to help drive the whole 'transfer system' to get everyone to their new areas. Then we had a lunch with all the people going home (Sister Besendorfer) and the new missionaries. Then the training meeting where we got trained on how to train. THEN WE MET OUR NEW COMPS! I get the chance to train SISTER SIALE! She's from Sandy, UT and her family is originally from Tonga 💖 She's so wonderful! Then we came home to Camarillo to find out apartment TRASHED...It was kinda really bad -- the Assistants found out that it was bad so them, the District leader, and the Zone leaders told us not to worry about it and they'd clean it. So we just did our shopping and met with the Bishop. When we came back it was spotless! We owe them BIG TIME!
Wednesday - Sunday: Was spent meeting ward members and the investigators the Elders had.
Monday: (July 3) We did your average p-day routine. Then I gave 2 elders hair cuts, then when we went to do our laundry we realized we could only pay in quarters. So when we went to get some a member invited us over to do it there. #saint Then dinner at the Tao family's, AHH, I love them too much!
Tuesday: (fourth of July) Today was super fun! We had a 4th of July breakfast with our whole ward, YUM! Then a BBQ w/Tri-tip for dinner at a tree nursery. We got to hang out with a less active members 6 year old son. He's so cute! Then ice cream and watching fireworks from our bedroom. All in all it was a pretty solid day!
Wednesday: Hey Happy Birthday cousin Brett! Today we tried to track down all our potential investigators. One, Brittany looked familiar, then it hit me! She''s the Granddaughter of someone in the Ventura 4th ward. I went to dinner w/Brittany like 3 times in Dec/Jan! #smallworld For my 9 month mark we celebrated by getting ice cream 💗 yum
HUMP DAY PACKAGE!
a camel, and half packages of some of her favorite candies...
the other half travelled to the Netherlands where one of her good friends hit his year mark.
Thursday: Most of our day was spent planning for the coming week, we had a ember call us and ask us to teach Gospel Doctrine for him so we went over to get the lesson plan and he trained us how to teach his class. It was funny.
Friday: It's Sister Siale's one month mark! And we also got to meet our new Mission President, President Nakken. He and his wife are so wonderful! We got to spend a lot of time with them today! Then we had dinner and the 17 year old daughter asked us millions of questions about missionary work/life. It was a really fun way to spend our evening. We gave her advice on missionary stuff and did a little mission prep with her.
Saturday: Today was kind of a struggle. We both felt SUPER SICK. We figured it was dehydration because it is REALLY HOT (It got to 103+ humidity) So we thought that putting tons of water in out system would be a good thing, we were a tad wrong... But it's okay, we made it through the day!
Sunday: We had coordination at 8:30 then church at 9. There were some amazing talks on personal revelation and prayer. Then we taught Sunday School on missionary work. Then we went to YW and sat in on a lesson about temples. 💖 Then all our studies. We had dinner with a part member family and they fed us shrimp. Then we met some ward members and potentials.
The camel needed to be in some photos
She's been told to use shaving cream to take off her make-up
