Dec 4 - 10

Man,  this has been one of the longest weeks ever.....
Mon- today was sooooo Good! It was SISTER MCGUIRES BIRTHDAYYYYY!!! ah so fun! We got everything ready for MLC tomorrow! We had a fun dinner at the Aguaros (he's the pink power ranger.... nbd)
Tues: so..... today was... a day. Lol, we woke up this morning to a text from our zone leaders telling us that Ventura is on fire and everyone is evacuated (and safe) so MLC is canceled. Lol it was crazy! There is a HUGE fire in Ventura and throughout the day we kept getting updates on MORE FIRES around us! One in downtown LA, one in Santa Clarita, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, and one in San Bernardino. So basically....

It was so crazy, updates after updates, making sure all our sisters and missionaries were safe! Don't worry, everyone is A-OKAY! We ended up having the Simi Ysa sisters stay the night because their area was evacuated as well because the Santa Clarita fire had gone into Simi Valley. We walked around a lot and talked with a bunch of people. Everyone was in a panic so we were able to shed some light with the scriptures πŸ’•
Wed- we got another update this morning that a sliver of our area is now on fire. This is so insane! But we will have 4 missionaries in our area today to spread more light and ignite a different fire, a fire within everyone and share The Book of Mormon! Well, not too many people were out and about as I am sure you could imagine haha but the people that were, were super awesome and very open so it was a good day!
Thurs:  today felt pretty normal,  well for everything going on haha. Our zone leaders brought us some gas masks😷
We spent most the day weekly planning and trying to find some people to talk to and share the #LIGHTtheWORLD initiative with!

Fri:we had district meeting and went and visited quite a few people. Then one of our members called us and told us that he was making muffin for his primary class and he made way too much so he had us over for muffins and hot chocolate! Ahhh tender mercies of the Lord πŸ’•

Sat: our investigator had her baby!!! So we got to see it and she is SOOOOO CUTE!!  Ahhh! Honestly not too much happened today, just talking to everyone out sharing the #LIGHTtheWORLDπŸ’•
Sun: we had church and a super yummy dinner, then we had a stake Christmas chior concert and holy cow!!! It was AMAZING!!!

Because of all the craziness that currently is California, please keep everyone here in your prayers, lots of houses have been lostπŸ™ It's crazy how much we take for granted during our day to day lives. Our homes, our cars, clean air, our loved ones, etc. Hug your family extra tight when you see them next. I love this gospel and the hope that it brings to people, in distress and not. I know that the message we share of the Restored gospel is true and that The Book of Mormon truly is the word of God. I know that our Savior lives and loves each and everyone of you, even if you feel like you don't deserve it, he is always there. With arms open wide, begging us to come unto Him. I love you all so much and am truly grateful for you.
Don't forget to open your mouths and share the hope that this Gospel truly brings! The perfect way to do that is through #LIGHTtheWORLD. πŸ’•πŸ’• i want to hear about ALL of your #LIGHTtheWORLD experiences!!! Email me throughout the week about what you and your families have been doing so we can give people here more ideas on how they call also #LIGHTtheWORLD.
