Jan 1-7

Monday: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! well not much happened today because we couldn't go out working. So we played volleyball basically all day with our district! It was really funπŸ˜‚ then the elders did face masks πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Tuesday- EXCHANGES WITH WESTLAKE YSA!!! I went with Sister Fitting, who was trained by my trainee πŸ’•πŸ’• we had a blast together sharing the gospel and getting to know each other. She updated me on the ysa ward! Ah tender mercies of the Lord right there!! Haha we had a lesson with the Sanchez family and read 2 stories in the Book of Mormon with them. We read about lehis vision of the tree of life. They LOVED itπŸ’• ah I just love that family!

Wednesday: EXCHANGES WITH DOS VIENTOS!!! I went with Sister Garrett! She's awesome! We also had a blast talking with people and sharing the gospel. We talked to this really cool man about the book of Mormon and he is more than interested, I haven't seen anyone that happy to receive a copy in a long time. It was amazing to watch him be so excited. It made me so so happy that we get to bring people the joy of the Restored gospel πŸ’• man. I wanna be a missionary FOREVER!

Thursday- ahhhhhh okay this was probably my favorite day this week!!!! LEMME EXPLAIN!!! As we were getting ready for MLC, we had a knock at the door. Sister McGuire went and talked to someone for a bit but I couldn't really tell who it was so I went closer cuz #sightandsound (I have to be in sight and sound of my companion at all times) as I was walking out of my bathroom door, SYDNEY WAS THERE!!! Previously known as Sister Besendorfer, on of the companions I had in Westlake YSA around April time. It was SO good to see her! Ah I miss her! Then we had MLC and I got to spend the day with my dear friend Sister Adamson πŸ’• probably the saddest part of the day was that it was probably the last time I will see her as a missionary since she goes home at the end of the month 😭
Friday- today we had district meeting and were kinda scared to go home because of what happened last week after district meeting πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ we got home and everything was fine hahaha but then we felt like we needed to go see some sisters in our stewardship so we did. At first they weren't home (even though we thought they were) so we thought we would scare them by hiding in their apartment, luckily their door was unlocked. We waited for a bit and realized that they really weren't there and we awkwardly broke in πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ they showed up and were SOOOOO confused hahaha it was funny...  then we spent most of the day with them and helped them out with some things that they have been struggling with.

Saturday- today was really really.... cool!!! We had yet ANOTHER mission tour and were blessed to be able to meet with Elder Renlend of the Quorum of the 12 apostles. He had come to our mission on assignment to personally tell us 3 things
1. On behalf of our Savior, Jesus Christ, thank you for excepting your call to serve πŸ’•
2. You have been called of God, by prophecy, to be HERE in the California Ventura Mission. He has a specific mission here for each of you. And not only does he want you here now, he NEEDS you here now.
3. Lastly, your mission president, President Nakken and his wife are also called by prophecy. They love you and there is nothing that they wouldn't do for you.
After, we did our studies and got a call from our ward mission leader that he was gonna take us out to dinner so we met him at some seafood place. Well things got a little crazy, and we ended up trying all sorts of stuff that idk what it was. But I do know that we, at one point, ate EEL!!! Not gonna lie.... I was not a fan πŸ˜‚ but it was worth a shot

It was truly amazing to be in the presence of an apostle of our Lord and Savior this weeked. They have such a special spirit about them. I love them all so much and I sustain every single one of them. We also found out this week of the passing of our dear Prophet, Thomas S. Monson. He was such a wonderful man and leader in our lives. I know that he was a Prophet of God and that his successor will also be a Prophet called of God as well. I am so grateful for a Prophet in these days that we live in, to give us guidance and direction from our loving Heavenly Father. We are blessed to live in a time when we have the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ available in our life. πŸ’•πŸ’•
